It's almost time for Thanksgiving! Every family has their own traditions. We found some of the weirdest traditions out there. Have you heard of these traditions? Breaking Wishbone- You take the clavicle bone of the turkey, which is also called a wishbone, and two people grab either side of it and pull it apart. Whoever gets the bigger half is the winner and they make a wish. Turkey Pardoning- Every year since 1989, when President George Bush formalized it, the President will pardon a turkey from thanksgiving. Turducken-Some families decide to do a turducken for thanksgiving instead of a turkey. A turducken is a chicken stuffed inside a duck and that duck stuffed inside a turkey. Turkey Trot- People will dress up as turkeys and run marathons for charities on thanksgiving. Turkey Bowling- This tradition started at a grocery store. Instead of using a bowling ball, they use a frozen turkey to knock down pins. Turkey Toss-The turkey toss began by high schoolers who dress up dead turkeys in baby onesies set them on fire and then toss them across a football field to see who can toss them the furthest.
