It's almost time for Thanksgiving! Every family has their own traditions. We found some of the weirdest traditions out there. Have you heard of these traditions?

Breaking Wishbone- You take the clavicle bone of the turkey, which is also called a wishbone, and two people grab either side of it and pull it apart. Whoever gets the bigger half is the winner and they make a wish.
Turkey Pardoning- Every year since 1989, when President George Bush formalized it, the President will pardon a turkey from thanksgiving.
Turducken-Some families decide to do a turducken for thanksgiving instead of a turkey. A turducken is a chicken stuffed inside a duck and that duck stuffed inside a turkey.
Turkey Trot- People will dress up as turkeys and run marathons for charities on thanksgiving.
Turkey Bowling- This tradition started at a grocery store. Instead of using a bowling ball, they use a frozen turkey to knock down pins.
Turkey Toss-The turkey toss began by high schoolers who dress up dead turkeys in baby onesies set them on fire and then toss them across a football field to see who can toss them the furthest.

  • What is your profession and why did you choose it?
My profession is Marketing Technology Specialist, I did not actually choose it but evolved into it. By education, I am an Engineer, however, having tons of experience in Corporate Sales and Marketing, This was a natural evolution to bridge the Gap between Sales/Marketing and Technology, which I am very good at. It is especially more relevant these days as everything is going digital and online.
  • How long have you owned your own business?
I have owned my business, WSI Digital,  for nearly 10 years.
  • What inspired you to own your own business?
I started in 2010, when digital was just taking off, and businesses were looking for newer avenues to market and grow their business. Having a lot of experience in the digital arena, I felt that I could help small and medium size businesses grow their business using technology.  Our Agency is a full service digital Agency. We help Businesses developing a simple website to full Campaigns to for new customer acquisition to building their brand. We work closely with Google, BING,  Yahoo and many other social media  channels. We can design and execute a strategy to grow any business, B2C or B2B .
  • What might someone be surprised to know about you?
When I was in College, I used to be a bartender of a night club.
  • Do you have a hobby, play a sport, or have any special interests?
I love to read in my spare time and play golf. I also enjoy travelling abroad with family.
  • What job would you be terrible at?
I would be terrible at dancing, though I enjoy listening to music, just not good at dancing.
  • Who has impressed you most with what they’ve accomplished?
Warren Buffet always has impressed me with his fiscal discipline, and attitude towards Money. His philanthropic work is very commendable.
  • Where is the most interesting place you have visited?
I have visited many interesting places, one I enjoy the most is Australia. Its landscape and people are amazing.
  • Do you have any advice based on your area of expertise?
Being in the digital space, I would say this is the most economical way to market any business, from startup to a large corporation. I still find many businesses still using old traditional ways to market, and not using digital platform. With technology disrupting market place constantly, every business should delve into the technology, or they will be left behind. because most of their customers are moving to digital platforms..
Automation not only helps you reach more prospects but also makes you more productive and saves money in the end.
  • If you could work anywhere in the world, where would you choose?
I love St. Louis, it is a great place to grow family and work.
  • How has working in a shared work space influenced your business?
I have used AMG for many years, and I find the shared space very useful. As i can use many resources in one fixed price. it has saved me a lot in the long run.
  • What is your favorite restaurant from the St. Louis area?
I like vin de set, it has a  great french cuisine.
  • What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?
Travel to far places, if you get a chance. It opens up your mind and you learn a great deal about other cultures.
  • Who’s your go to band or artist when you can’t decide on something to listen to?
I still enjoy old music, my favorite band would be the Rolling Stones, they have something for every mood.
